Allen Newborn Session
I have known this mama since we were in elementary school. While I moved to a different school my freshman year of high school, social media has allowed me to keep up with many of the friends I grew up with.
It can be so fun to watch everyone celebrating their milestones, their joys, their good times. As it goes, many of the people I grew up with all started settling down around the same time, getting married, starting families, changing careers. What doesn’t feel awesome is watching people who meant a lot to you in your youth suffer a tragedy. There is that feeling of wanting to reach out but not wanting to bother them.
I have followed this family’s story from the beginning, the engagement, the wedding, the announcements, and the devastation. My heart hurt for them deeply but I didn’t know how to share my sympathies. Then it happened, joy came into their lives again, a beautiful little girl. I promised mama that if she was ever in Atlanta again that I would love to document her beautiful family as a way to send them my love. Then it happened. A simple little instagram message that made me shed tears of joy. “Hi Taryn, we have moved back to Atlanta and we just found out we are expecting, I would love for you to do a newborn session once we are home” (paraphrasing here….😘) My heart is so full for them and I love being able to share this family’s light that has come through after darkness.
